ODT to PDF
Convert an OpenDocument Text (.odt) file to PDF using LibreOffice — the same engine that created it. Full fidelity: styles, headers, footers, and tables are preserved. Never stored permanently.
Frequently asked questions
- Does my file get uploaded?
- Yes. Conversion uses LibreOffice running on our secure server. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, converted, and immediately deleted — never stored permanently.
- Will the formatting be preserved?
- Because ODT is LibreOffice's native format, the conversion is equivalent to using File → Export as PDF directly in LibreOffice. Paragraph styles, page headers and footers, tables, embedded images, and character formatting are all preserved with full fidelity.
- What software creates .odt files?
- LibreOffice Writer, OpenOffice Writer, Google Docs (via export), and many academic and government document systems use ODT as their default or preferred format. It is an ISO-standardised open format (ISO 26300).
- How long does conversion take?
- Most ODT files convert in under 10 seconds. Documents with many embedded images or complex styles may take up to 30 seconds.
