PDF Tools
Excel to PDF
Convert an Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx) to PDF. Cell content, column widths, borders, and page layout are preserved as rendered by LibreOffice Calc. Processed on a secure server, never stored permanently.
Frequently asked questions
- Does my file get uploaded?
- Yes. Converting a spreadsheet to PDF requires LibreOffice Calc running on our secure server. Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, converted, and immediately deleted.
- Will all my sheets be included?
- LibreOffice converts all sheets that are set to print in the workbook. Sheets marked as hidden are not included, consistent with how Excel itself handles PDF export.
- Are formulas preserved?
- Formulas are evaluated and their current values appear in the PDF. The PDF shows the result of every formula, not the formula itself.
- Can I convert .xls files?
- This tool is designed for .xlsx (Excel 2007 and later). If you have an .xls file, open it in Excel or Google Sheets and save it as .xlsx first.
